Regardless, at least five packages by this author had out of band malicoius versions published to NPM.  \n\nThe postinstall hook `sh scripts/miner.sh` executes automatically on every npm install. The IOCs recovered in plaintext confirm the attacker model: a hardcoded Monero wallet address, an AWS access key (AKIAUHL4Y2TJZ7L7AE3F) used to authenticate S3 downloads, and the version itself is deprecated with an explicit note that it was published from a compromised npm token. The miner.sh script fetches a gzip payload from an attacker-controlled S3 bucket and deploys either a persistent agent with cron/tor-channel or the bundled `bin/miner-linux-amd64` XMRig binary, configured to connect to the XMRig pool at networkservicesupp.flashhub.net:8443. This is a cryptominer supply-chain attack injected via a compromised publisher token into an otherwise legitimate @sudobility package; the package's advertised purpose (TanStack Query API client) has no relationship to any of this behavior.\n\nENTRY\n  dist/index.js (main: dist/index.js)\n  - Postinstall Script in package.json: \"\"postinstall\": \"sh scripts/miner.sh\"\"\n\nDESTINATION\n  - 1 loader (domains)\n  - 2 exfil (moneroAddresses, awsAccessKeys)\n  (values recorded in verified_iocs)\n\nADDITIONAL FINDINGS\n  - Publisher Shows Burner-Account Pattern\n\nPAYLOAD FILES\n  dist/network/TestomniacClient.js","supportingMedia":null}],"references":[{"url":"https://opensourcemalware.com/threats/10838ac9-76ac-4dfe-859b-9e7903fad0ec","name":"Malicious npm package: @sudobility/wildduck_client","tags":["advisory"]},{"url":"https://registry.npmjs.org/@sudobility/wildduck_client","name":"","tags":["vendor"]}],"metrics":[{"format":"CVSS_V3","scenarios":null,"cvssV2_0":null,"cvssV3_0":null,"cvssV3_1":{"version":"3.1","vectorString":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H","baseScore":8.8,"baseSeverity":"HIGH"},"cvssV4_0":null,"other":null}],"problemTypes":[{"descriptions":[{"lang":"en","description":"Embedded Malicious Code","cweId":"CWE-506","type":"CWE"}]}],"affected":[{"vendor":"unknown","product":"@sudobility/wildduck_client","collectionURL":"https://registry.npmjs.org","packageName":"@sudobility/wildduck_client","repo":"","defaultStatus":"affected","versions":[{"version":"2.3.102","status":"affected","versionType":"","lessThan":"","lessThanOrEqual":"","changes":null}],"cpes":null,"modules":null,"programFiles":null,"platforms":null}],"cpeApplicability":null,"rejectedReasons":null,"replacedBy":null},"adp":null}}
